Embryonic Autopsy is a Brutal Death Metal band focused on bringing back the style that made the Death Metal genre so popular back in the early ‘90s. Blazing guitar, guttural vocals, and lightning fast drumming the way Death Metal was meant to be.
Formed in 2021, the band features vocalist Tim King from technical death metal pioneers Oppressor, former Otep guitarist Scott Roberts, and a fierce rhythm section consisting of bassist Kenxi Dupey and drummer Marco Fimbres.
Embryonic Autopsy’s debut album “Prophecies of the conjoined” (February 2022) met with massive success in the underground metal scene, and was hailed as an album that brought back the dynamics and raw energy of old school Brutal Death Metal. The album featured many guest appearances by legends in the Death Metal scene including James Murphy (Death, Obituary) and Terrance Hobbs (Suffocation). The album itself is a concept album based on the theory of aliens visiting and helping to teach the Egyptian, Mayan, and Aztec cultures by furthering their technology. It would not be until centuries later that a spaceship crash in Roswell, New Mexico, would give scientists actual life forms to study. The DNA of these alien life forms were combined with human DNA to create alien/human hybrids.
In June 2024, Embryonic Autopsy launched their sophomore album “Origins Of The Deformed”. The album was a continuation of the debut’s alien/human hybrid concept which is followed by an even more sick and twisted lyrical style from the previous album. Diving into more guts and gore than ever before, “Origins Of The Deformed” took listeners on a grotesque filled journey of the senses. Once again engaging with special guests James Murphy and Terrance Hobbs, Jack Owen (Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Six Feet Under) was also brought in to play numerous guest solos.
Coming into 2026, Embryonic Autopsy delivers the final chapter in their 3 part album trilogy with “Rise Of The Mutated”. This album conceptually completes the story of the previous two albums, and like its predecessors, delivers even more intensity both musically and lyrically. Combining even heavier and faster riffs with even more grotesque lyrics, this album proves to be the band’s most intense album to date. As with previous albums, the band prides itself on enlisting guest appearances and this time is no exception. The guitar legend James Murphy returns once again to play 4 amazing solos throughout the album along with a guest solo by Terrance Hobbes of Suffocation.
“We have come so far as a band since we first started” states vocalist Tim King. “Our goal was to do a 3 album trilogy based on a widely pondered concept of alien visitation and technology. It’s a concept both myself and guitarist Scott Roberts have been intrigued by for most of our lives. To be able to combine that with the sheer power and intensity of a Brutal Death Metal band has been an awesome experience.”
“Rise Of The Mutated” was produced and mixed by Embryonic Autopsy’s own Scott Roberts and mastered by Ulrich Wild (Pantera, Dethklok) at Wilderness Studios (Burbank, CA).
“Rise Of The Mutated” is an album for for true Death Metal fans created by true Death Metal fans the way it should be: powerful, relentless, and unforgiving.
