ULTRA STORY: “A Savage Journey Through The Sweaty Underbelly of Rock n’ Roll Subculture” is the forthcoming coffee table book to commemorate the rise of MK ULTRA Magazine from its humble beginnings in Pittsburgh in 1995 as a 28 page black and white newsprint tabloid of 250 copies to a full color near 100 page worldwide distributed magazine based out of Chicago.
The episode begins with a conversation with Mike Shoemaker in Evansville, IN who was a photographer for MK ULTRA from 1995 – 2000 and published his own zine Cranial Fracture. And then we have Tamara Mitchell in Lakeport, CA who served as a contributing writer 1995-1996.
