Makes My Blood Dance (MMBD) are an exciting hybrid of electro-goth, pop-metal and electronic dance music who have already turned heads with their electrifying live performances and several singles promoted with cinematic videos.
The New York-based act signed to Metropolis Records in late 2025 and have issued ‘Black Summer’ today as their second single for the label. The striking song (and soon to be visual statement) expands MMBD’s dark theatrical world in a manner that feels equal parts midnight cinema and modern gothic seduction. It follows the December release of ‘Your Little Hand In Mine’.
Having just completed a successful run of US Midwest tour dates with Smile Empty Soul and Primer 55, MMBD are currently headlining their own ‘No Love Without Blood Tour’ across the Southeast before joining Powerman 5000 and 12 Stones for a full national tour in April and May.
Placing the band firmly inside the modern industrial and heavy electronic music circuit, this touring cycle marks a defining moment for MMBD as they build towards the release of their debut album. No strangers to pulling metal crowds, club goers and alternative music fans generally into the same room in their own right, the spring schedule will see them operating with continual momentum.
MMBD will shortly announce a release date for their debut album. It will include ‘Black Summer’ plus their three previous singles: ‘Heavy Metal Armour’ VIDEO | BANDCAMP, ‘Time And A Place’ VIDEO | BANDCAMP and ‘Your Little Hand In Mine’ VIDEO | BANDCAMP. These have already racked up over a million plays on Spotify alone, with similar YouTube numbers for their superb video clips.
Standing at the intersection of industrial rock, darkwave and electronic nightlife, MMBD are building a modern alternative culture around movement, fashion and an immersive live experience, converting introspective scenes into high-energy audiences through constant touring and their spectacular performances. Their shows feel less like concerts and more like temporary worlds – spaces where heavy music, dance floor energy and underground style coexist without permission.
