January 9th, 2025 – Dark alternative artist, SYS MACHINE has announced the release of their new single, “Doubtless”. The song will appear on the forthcoming album, Parts Unknown due out April 10th.
Lyrically, “Doubtless” rejects slogans and false assurances in favor of self-direction and personal accountability presenting a resolute posture rather than a brooding or reactive one. “Doubtless” explores maintaining sanity in an increasingly turbulent and chaotic world. SYS MACHINE founder, Dave McAnally says, “Doubtless” was influenced by the directness, realism & grounded perspective of Americana singer-songwriter artists like James McMurtry as well as modern electronic acts like Depeche Mode for their contemporary production.”
“Doubtless” is positioned as the foundation track for SYS MACHINE’s forthcoming album to introduce the project’s core emotional and sonic identity rather than serving as a stylistic outlier. The track sits firmly in electronic rock / dark alternative, incorporating art-pop and atmospheric elements. Built around a controlled, mechanical pulse with subtle textural shifts, “Doubtless” emphasizes tension and atmosphere over aggression or release. The vocals are integrated into the structure of the track rather than sitting above it.

The lyric video for “Doubtless” features performance footage by SYS MACHINE founder, Dave McAnally. Video production was done by Joel Lopez of Lumbra Productions. The visuals emphasize performance, presence, and atmosphere over narrative and were designed to reinforce the internal, focused intensity of the track.

The forthcoming album is titled Parts Unknown because SYS MACHINE truly treaded new ground with these tracks.
