Darkwave band, THE POLYBIUS CABINET have just unleashed their debut album,Level 1.
Level 1 brings an electro / new wave sound that’s dark but upbeat, occasionally driven by a goth rock / deathrock sound. Occasional video game-inspired sounds appear on the album to reference the band name and album title.

The lyrics of each song on Level 1 are based on the observations of others’ experiences seen through the eyes of vocalist, Miguel de la Cruz. Relationship struggles, heartbreak, loss and grief are themes that commonly appear throughout the album. Occultism is another common theme that runs through songs such as “Cisco”, “La Tumba” and “Doorway”.
Level 1 is an album that doesn’t play by the rules or ahere to a pre-defined pattern or formula.

THE POLYBIUS CABINET is a three-piece darkwave act hailing from the most Southern depths of Texas. The band consists of songwriter and lyricist, Miguel de la Cruz (guitar/vocals/synths) along with sibling members, Alyse Galvan (synthesizers) and Markus Galvan (bass).
By combining their South Texas roots and their Hispanic heritage, the band brings forth a new romantic bilingual approach to darkwave that is representative of the Latino goth subculture
