JESUS ON EXTASY Between Despair And Disbelief : new album out 12th September 2025 on Metropolis Records

Industrial rock insurgents Jesus on Extasy are back – darker, heavier and more relentless than ever. Led by founding member Dorian Deveraux, the band has returned with an uncompromising sound that pushes their signature mix of industrial beats, searing guitars and raw emotion to the next level.

Current single ‘Somewhat Happy’ and its recent predecessor ‘Soul Crusher’ have offered further brutal previews of the forthcoming new JoE album, ‘Between Despair And Disbelief’, out on 12th September via Metropolis Records. Giving fans a tantalising taste of their second coming with the single ‘Wide Awake’ in 2023, the band subsequently signed to the label to issue ‘Days Gone By’ in late 2024. All four songs are more intense and unapologetically aggressive than ever before. “It looks like the world is going to hell. We might as well deliver the soundtrack for that,” adds Deveraux.

JoE will tour Europe with Die Krupps in late August/September (including a London show), and then again with Die Krupps in February/March 2026. Fans can expect an unrelenting live set packed with new material and reimagined classics, proving that their resurgence is built to last. With a harder edge and a fire that refuses to burn out, JoE fully intend to leave an everlasting mark on the alternative rock landscape.

Celebrated in the media as a driving force in their scene during the ‘00s, JoE were recognised as a ‘New Industrial Rock Highlight’ by the German magazine Sonic Seducer while also gracing covers of other specialist print titles in mainland Europe such as Orkus, Zillo and Elegy. Their genre-defying sound and bold aesthetic made them one of the most talked-about acts in the dark music underground, with songs like ‘Assassinate Me’ and ‘Neochrome’ becoming cult classics and the band sharing stages with the likes of Marilyn Manson, Nightwish, Eisbrecher and The Birthday Massacre before stepping away from the spotlight and disappearing into the night.
