Los Angeles, April 30, 2025 — The silence is over—and it hits like a sledgehammer. Following the critically acclaimed debut single “Temet Nosce”—which premiered on Metal Injection and received high praise from Metal Hammer—Australia’s blackened, genre-bending metal force Sálezianos unleashes their blistering follow-up: “The Great Silence,” out today on all major streaming platforms.
A monumental leap in sonic brutality and artistic depth, “The Great Silence” fuses blackened aggression, progressive complexity, and gothic atmosphere into one haunting, shape-shifting track. Early listeners are calling it “flawless,” “fucking epic,” and “a perfect coming together of genres.”“When you’ve lived a life of extreme trials and tribulations, invoking audial dark spirits comes with the territory.” – Nick Jarrah Parkinson, co-creator of Sálezianos“The Great Silence” is a deeper dive into the void than its predecessor. Featuring a commanding vocal performance by Henry Derek Elis (Scar the Martyr, Act of Defiance, Qaalm), the track delivers sheer sonic catharsis—chilling, expansive, and emotionally unrelenting.Metal Hammer hailed “Temet Nosce” as “Pendulous prog metal meets Akercocke-style black metal with some seriously big left-turns to keep you guessing.” “The Great Silence” now ups the stakes—sonically darker, more refined, and every bit as dangerous.
About Sálezianos
Formed from the chaotic creative collision of Nick Parkinson (Larry Leadfoot) and Daniel Phillip East (Artist Proof), Sálezianos began as an experimental exploration of darkness and dynamics. After unleashing raw energy through Larry Leadfoot’s Hellxotica and Sins and All: Live in Hellbourne, the duo rebranded as Sálezianos to reflect their evolved vision. With Henry Derek Elis completing the trio, the band now embodies a fully realized sonic beast—fearless, diverse, and fiercely original. With more music in the works—including bold covers of Alice In Chains and AC/DC—Sálezianos is carving a destructive and artful path through the extreme metal underground.
