It is an all ages venue and all are welcome. Carnage Asada are an integral part of the tapestry and history of the SoCal punk scene. “Carnage Asada started as a solid, straightforward, intense punk outfit but they have evolved into a complex, energetic punk jazz orchestra.” – Alice Bag

“Carnage Asada…are one of the most original sounding bands I’ve ever worked with. Their one of a kind mashup of street poetry, psychedelia, and dada, augmented by a thunderous rock beat, tears up the stage everywhere they play, and is an instant crowd pleaser.” – Geza X

“I saw them at the Tower Bar in City Heights my neighborhood.

I hear Los Angeles in the music, bus stops, street scenes, brown punks on dope. D.U.I? D.W.I? Reckless endangerment, I thought of Travis Bickle ready to explode.

I thought of walking through my trash filled alley on the way to the liquor store to spend the last of the rent money on booze.  Waking up in Rosarito hung over on tequila.

I thought of Keroac on the Steve Allen show, and Bukowski who said, ‘I like desperate men who lead desperate lives!’

Stories lived and shared right here right now, not sitting on the couch dreaming of fame!

I thought of that one creative writing teacher who told me to keep writing.

It’s rare but it happens sometimes, that night at the Tower Bar I was right where I was supposed to be.” – Javier Escovedo, the Zeros
