The March Violets have just released a new single entitled “Hammer the Last Nail” accompanied by a smashing new video, the first taste of their forthcoming Metropolis Records album entitled ‘Crocodile Promises’. The new album will be promoted with a launch show in London at The Garage (July 20th), followed by Rebellion Festival in Blackpool (August 2nd), along with additional dates. Born in Leeds 1981, at the vanguard of Post-Punk, the March Violets were featured in the John Hughes 1987 movie “Some Kind of Wonderful” with the single “Turn to the Sky.” The March Violets are now a lean three-piece featuring original members Tom Ashton (guitars) and Rosie Garland (vox) with new bassist Mat Thorpe. ‘Crocodile Promises’ will officially be released on July 19th by Metropolis Records on CD, vinyl and through all streaming and digital platforms.
