Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany’s thrash titans DARKNESS return with their 6th album(and 1st full length since 2018’s ‘First Class Violence’) ‘Blood On Canvas’ on Massacre Records, and they don’t disappoint.
Featuring original members Arnd(guitars) and Lacky(drums), the band includes Lee(vocals), Dominik Rothe(guitars), and Ben(bass). The 9 tracks on this album are fiery, catchy, and will make you headbang like a madman. Opening track ‘Wake Up In A Rage’ will get you thrashing like a maniac, as will ‘Human Flesh Wasted’, ‘Truth Is A Whore’, and ‘Defcon Four'(my personal favorite on the album), and ‘Roots Of Resistance’.
I HIGHLY recommend this album, if you are a fan of fellow legendary German thrashers KREATOR, SODOM, TANKARD, AND DESTRUCTION. Out April 26th, on Massacre Records.
