Acclaimed producer and composer Eric Chamberlain has resurrected the legendary electronic project Index AI in 2024 with a new double album titled Gods and Animals. The album features 25 songs as well as a radio-friendly version of the title track. Chamberlain felt that his life-changing experiences would reflect most powerfully through this release, and this is his most personal and accessible yet.
Chamberlain’s previous album, 2021’s Quadratura Cinetectura, was named Album of the Year by the illustrious Grenzwellen radio show of Hanover, Germany. With Gods and Animals he continues his unique signature aesthetic of combining electronic and organic, light and dark, beauty and terror, grace and aggression, and future and past in a powerful and magical album designed to uplift and inspire all humanity. From the lush warning of Primrose Path to the tongue-in-cheek title track to the soaring confession of Serpents of Divine Energy, the album shows a maturity and wit not present in earlier releases.
