Spent hours Friday evening and Saturday morning boxing gifts and filling out greeting cards for friends and family. It was a lot. Saturday I took an Uber to the UPS store in North Center to ship everything out. I wasn’t in the mood for a USPS trip with attitude and long lines. It cost more but was worth it. 100 % hassle free. Boxes will be arriving around the country this week. Then I took a walk up Lincoln to Lincoln Square. I put posters up and fliers out. Hansa Clipper only had one customer so I skipped stopping in and having a pour. I noticed a lot of places have gone out of business. It was sad. I was very hungry so stopped at Culvers on the way home.
Looks pretty and peaceful doesn’t it. Looks can be deceiving and that is exactly what Chicago identitarian politics has done to this once great holiday destination. I fear for downtown shoppers.
DAMN THIS PLACE
Only 10 days to go till my final Chicago production. Ever.
Sunday I was so damned hungry and planned to go to The Brig and hang out with Eric Mills again. I first had to go grocery shopping. I decided to eat at Flacos since El Palmar was packed. I hadn’t’ been here since My 2019 on my way home from the office via bike. I was craving tacos and a margarita but my heartburn had other ideas. I couldn’t finish my food or my drink. I was in dire pain. Shopping at Aldi in Edgewater wasn’t pleasant either. It was very crowded. I was in so much pain I ordered an Uber instead of taking the train home.

The shrimp taco was amazing and it was wasted. I’ll be going back. Oh and when I got home my package from Amazon with my Prilosec arrived. Life saver.
Eleven days till the trip
One year ago yesterday Max Bravo took this photo of Katrina on the coffee table
I had four of these mofos shipped to my son in WV for his birthday
