Los Angeles, CA – Following the release of their recent single that featured British prog legend, King Crimson saxophonist Mel Collins, San Francisco sonic pioneers Chrome are releasing another single from their forthcoming album, the stunning title track “Blue Exposure!” Picking up where there highly acclaimed 1980 album Red Exposure left off, the new single captures the manic energy and exploding creativity of Chrome’s ‘80s heyday that saw the band shift toward a more accessible, song-oriented style.
But this is Chrome we’re talking about so “Blue Exposure” doesn’t lack for the weird, highly experimental touches that fans have come to expect. In the driver seat for the single, and its attendant album, is the one and only Helios Creed who has been the guitarist for the band since 1977 and its sole constant member since the passing of founder Damon Edge in 1995. With each new release, Creed cements his status as one of rock music’s singular visionaries, and his angular guitar playing and haunting vocals on “Blue Exposure” show why.
