The Lost Boys “Be One of Us: 1987 Revisited”

For Distortion Productions’ historic 100th release, the label decided to do something special. The soundtrack to the 1987 film The Lost Boys has always been a source of tremendous joy for label owner, Jim Semonik, so Distortion has put together an amazing homage to both the soundtrack and film. Starting with a high energy version of INXS’s “Good Times” by Chicago’s Go Fight and leading into the electro industrial “Lost in the Shadows” by God Module, this album gets you in the party mood. Of note, is the amazing “Cry Little Sister” by Ashbury Heights and “I Still Believe” by Glass Apple Bonzai. As usual, all artists brought their ‘A’ game. Eva X covering Elton John, The Battlefront doing INXS, Adoration Destroyed X NØIR on The Doors, Sapphira Vee doing Eddie & the Tide and the sultry version of “Beauty Has Her Way” by Null Device makes for an amazing album only to be rounded out by Red Lokust’s “To the Shock of Miss Louise.” So grab a copy, grab some comics, head to the beach in Santa Carla and Be One of Us. ‘Be One of Us: 1987 Revisited’ is available on CD and through all digital streaming platforms from Distortion Productions.
