DETROIT MI (Wednesday, March 15th) – The members of Frame 42 are all under the age of 20, yet they are inspired by the music of artists from their parents or older siblings’ record collections. Only two years after emerging rock group Frame 42 formed in 2017, legendary music producer for some of the biggest names in rock and roll, Toby Wright (Sevendust, Alice in Chains, KISS) was on board to harness their undeniable talent as their producer and champion. “Frame 42 is one of the most talented bands I’ve ever had the pleasure to produce. Their musical abilities outshine their youth,” explains Toby. The band is composed of female powerhouse Ava Morris on lead vocals, along with a collective of other wickedly talented players: Michael Greyson (lead guitar), Brock Morris (bass), Ben Dalgleish (rhythm guitar), and Lucas Jacobs (drums). “Ava Morris is an exceptional talent. Her voice rivals all your favorite singers,” adds Toby.
Their years belie their robust production, addictive sound, and composition of their music and lyrics – which not to mention, are entirely original and written together. “Each member brings their own unique perspective to the creative process. “Lucas brings the funk, Brock brings metal and Michael brings hard rock. Ben evokes a southern folk vibe, and I bring folky lyrics with classic melodies,” explains lead singer, Ava Morris. “The band moves in unison. We make every decision as a team and are lucky to be able to do that.”
Their collaboration with Toby Wright delivers an enticing new single “Thicker Than Blood”. The heart of the song is based on relationships and how it feels when it ends. “It may be harder for one person to let go than the other. Love is definitely thicker than blood; you can lose somebody and still hold on to love,” says Ava. This new single will be followed by an EP that will be released in early May.
Frame 42 recorded their album in December 2022 at BigBlock Sound, a private recording studio located in Linden, Michigan. It encapsulates the best of Frame 42’s mantra: to change the narrative on how to live happier, less stressful lives by doing things in their own, unique manner. As time keeps slippin’ into the future, Frame 42 is hard at work representing the next generation of musicianship, work ethic and comradery.
