Dependent Records artist 2ND FACE have just unveiled their debut single entitled “formula Extinction,” the first taste of their forthcoming progressive industrial full-length “utOpium.” 2ND FACE recently stated, “The track “formula Extinction” is inspired by humanity’s reckless exploitation of the planet’s resources – a process that will inevitably create a rather dystopian environment for generations to come,” mastermind and vocalist Vincent Uhlig further explains: “The lyrics revolve around a society that is tranquilized by social media and streaming platforms. Everybody is cosily wrapped up in their “utOpium” and unable to elude its lethargic effect.” 2ND FACE were conceived by Uhlig in the German city of Mainz in 2014, later making their debut with Dependent with the full-length “Nemesis.” The new album “utOpium,” will be available with a 36-page artbook with bonus CD “dystOpium” along with all digital and streaming platforms through Dependent on May 12th.
