America’s Favorite Gay Punk Rock Band are back with 12 fast paced homoerotic tracks of glam punk rock splendor appropriately titled “Endless Hummer”.
These boys have easily managed to make a hypocrite out of this writer since I never fail to complain when publications call a record the ‘best of the year’ early in the year but after listening to “Endless Hummer” I can safely now “hate myself” for admitting that in this case the COCKS have delivered the best and most fun recording of 2026 and its only April.
This is exactly the record I’ve been waiting for since the last offering from Chicago’s own I LOVE RICH. And that’s been awhile.
So at this point in time pretty much everybody knows I am proudly guilty of having a dirty mind and enjoy bad taste as much as the next fan of the films of John Waters, Andy Warhol, Kevin Smith and the ilk. But I also possess a discriminating appetite for really good music and this second outing from the COCKS delivers the load, pulls no punches and is not for the easily offended or “phobic” because this is 25 minutes of filthy fun from one cut to the next.
The titles alone leave little for the imagination, “Sex in Prison”, “Being a Fag” (In a RNR Band), “Gimme Gimme That Dick” (complete with chimes), “Home Sweet Homo”, “Anaphylactic Cock” which ends with a nod to Pink Floyds “Goodbye Cruel World” and “Bonehenge” just to name a few. And although the songs are all fun and catchy these guys are really fucking great players as a band. The music is spectacularly fresh and production is spot on. In a nutshell (or sack) this is just what the proctologist ordered!
My favorite track? The title track “Endless Hummer” of course, which has a chorus that begs “Who’s gonna suck my dick?”. Do I hear the ghost of the killer Jerry Lee Lewis hammering away on the ivory’s?
My friends and I have had this one on repeat since it was dropped less than a week ago. So why not grab the Cocks and take em for a ride.
