UK dark-electro duo, PALINDRONES has just unveiled their double A-Side release containing the tracks, “Abraxas” & “The Brightling Star” as well as a new video for “The Brightling Star”.
“Abraxas”, taken from PALINDRONES’ third album Chapter Two: The Slender Blade, conjures a space where chaos and harmony intertwine: brutal, distorted breakcore rhythms crash and convulse beneath a weaving, joyful melody. The result is both blissful and violent. “Abraxas” itself represents a duality: the sacred and the profane, the serene and the savage. In its volatile balance, the track captures the space between ecstasy and annihilation, where contradiction becomes transcendence.
“The Brightling Star”, a brand new companion piece to “Abraxas”, continues this theme of unity and connection but rises from a dark and fiery chaos to bring resolution and renewal. The music grows gradually, until all elements converge in a crescendo of pulsing trance. The song’s central truth is that individuality and unity can coexist in a shared heartbeat. “The Brightling Star” is an anthem of hope, redemption, and the transcendence that emerges when forces align in perfect, radiant balance.

Formed in 2020 by Jamie and Karen, PALINDRONES emerged during lockdown. Ssongwriting was their way to stay connected whilst living on opposite sides of London. Their name, PALINDRONES, speaks to the duality at the heart of their artistry—where symmetry, reflection, and contradiction fuel both their music and their creative process. This duality isn’t just conceptual. It’s embedded into the music itself. Whether it’s the interplay between light and dark, soft and intense, digital and organic, PALINDRONES embrace contrasts to create music that challenges, provokes, and resonates, spreading a message of hope, positivity and unity, transporting audiences to surging, euphoric dance floors and otherworldly spaces.

PALINDRONES have performed all across the UK, with appearances at Resistanz 2025, Whitby Goth Weekend, Goths On A Field, Dark Fest, Cable Festival and Alice’s Wicked Tea Party. They have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Synthpop legends A Flock Of Seagulls, NNHMN, Promenade Cinema, Auger, Je T’aime, Children On Stun, In Strict Confidence, Beborn Beton and 90’s pioneer of electronic music, Deep Forest.
