Little did I know that the snow would continue to hammer us after I shot Eternal Darkness at Graceland Cemetery. It was a long cold but not too cold week in early December 2025

AT THE TOP OF MY BUCKET LIST with Eric Bandauski The Woody Creek Tavern
The Woody Creek Tavern in Woody Creek, Colorado, is a historic, casual bar famous for its quirky, Polaroid-lined walls and status as a local hangout for celebrities like Hunter S. Thompson, serving classic American food, stiff drinks in a cozy, memorabilia-filled atmosphere. Housed in a log cabin, it’s known for its great beer, cocktails, and colorful history, attracting locals and visitors seeking a genuine piece of Aspen-area culture.

Melita wears the biker jacket I gave her like she was born to sport the damned thing

Last night we addressed and filled out holiday cards together It was more fun that I thought.

I had custom return address labels made for the occasion (yes there’s an inside joke here)

and of course I had to order special USPS Forever Stamps for the mailings.

I had a lot of free time on Saturday after running errands to the bank, post office and grocery store and I was inside all afternoon and evening so I diced a bunch of taters and baked fudge brownies. The latter didn’t last very long at all.

DERISION CULT: Chicago Industrial Metal for psychos charlatans and the age of regression.
Dave McAnally brings his raw, unfiltered metal edge, combining searing riffs and unyielding intensity with Sean Payne’s industrial precision. Together, they forge a unique soundscape—a brutal yet hypnotic fusion of mechanical rhythms, cold metallic textures, and incendiary energy. This alchemy of true metal grit and industrial precision defines DERISION CULT as an unstoppable force, carving their signature sound into the landscape of modern industrial rock.

The late and GREAT Nick Huffman, who introduced me to Emily, on a day prior to one of my birthday trips to the Looney Bin
This week will mark 10 years that I’ve known Emily who I met on my 51st birthday party at the Looney Bin in Bradley IL where Pete Berwick performed for me. It was 2015 and I was still on a cane pre hip replacement surgery. We stayed after hours and she gave me a ride to my hotel the Comfort Inn. We’ve been close friends ever since. Its been a couple of years since we saw each other. I think the last time was at Nick Huffman’s grave where a minister read some passages two summers ago. We had ice cream by her shop and I got to see her daughter and meet other members of the family. It was a very nice day. I don’t think she realizes how much I truly miss her. She’s absolutely one of the most genuine people I have ever met and I’ve met a LOT of people. I can talk to her and when we’re on the road between here and there it feels good to pour my heart out no matter what state of mind I may be in at the time. The listeners/fans let me know they miss her as well quite often.

EL PALMAR with Emily on one of her visits

Came home one weekend from a birthday trip with Emily and found this Roxy Music poster birthday gift from my brother Blue. That image has a long long history with me and my life.
