Based in the Texan city of San Antonio, darkwave/synth-punk artist Night Ritualz (aka Vincent Guerrero IV) weaves Latin influences into his songs, often blending English and Spanish lyrics with music that combines atmospheric soundscapes suffused with pulse-pounding beats to tell stories that are deeply personal and universally relatable.
His new single, ‘Whoreish’, is a mixture of hard industrial and EBM sounds, packing a punch suitable for either dancing to or starting a mosh pit. Loud and aggressive yet fun, it provides a neat contrast to its predecessor, ‘Brown Sugar’ (released in October 2025), an unapologetic expression of identity, struggle and survival that blended personal storytelling with social commentary.
Both songs are included on the upcoming second album by Night Ritualz, ‘Time Is A Thief’, which is scheduled for release in late February 2026 on Metropolis Records.
Night Ritualz initially drew inspiration from artists such as Depeche Mode, Deftones and At The Drive-In, blurring the lines between darkwave, electronic, EBM and post-punk to create a genre he terms ‘fuck wave’. March 2025 saw the release of a well received self-titled debut album STREAM that can also be purchased on vinyl, CD and digitally HERE.
