Today they do, and opt to savor simple beauty amid an existential moment. This is occurring while experiencing the world with a sense of childlike wonder.

“Murmurations mesmerize” is a lyric in the song that essentially says, that this ‘bot has probably seen birds for years but never with its own mind. Today it did, and it savors the beauty while an internal struggle unfolds.

Will N. notes, “I routinely felt these moments when working long hours. It’s silly stuff, a bird, a rainstorm, a moment of being present that slaps you in the face. This is life, and you’re missing it.”

About Band – Bio

Solid-State Sunlight is a DIY studio project based in Denver, CO, USA

Solo artist, Will N is songwriter, performer, engineer, admin, et al…

Slippery percussive grooves, electro-inspired basslines, cabinet-rattling analog synth, crunchy guitar textures, all swirling beneath hacked melodic vocals. Inspired by a broad assortment of influences, the music contains fingerprints of so many artists: Prick, VAST, VNV, Stabbing Westward, Carpenter Brut, Bauhaus, Skinny Puppy, and more.

The debut EP, ExoAnthro was released in 2024 as a concept album that introduced us to a variety of characters struggling to find their place within a tangled man/machine future, each at different points in their own self-awakening.

In 2025, building upon the foundation that was laid by ExoAnthro, a series of bombastic new tracks have emerged with stories that demand attention. They accompany us as tension around memory, meaning, manipulation, and hubris reveal colorful insight into the staggering entropy of  this world.

Juddering synthesizers express expansive singularity, atop beastly drum-driven tirades that
question our meaning. Followed by a respite of smokey synthwave shimmer, where for a single sweet moment machines savor the simplicity of presence. The close quiet pause is short-lived, as we are crowded into a fists-up grunge anthem that shoves us into the mosh, provoking us to rage against the cynicism of human autocracy
