The original Toxic Avenger is a raunchy, crude, and unapologetically gory brainless superhero horror comedy that significantly contributed to Troma Entertainment’s reputation in cinema sleaze. The reimagined Toxic Avenger is a cute, quirky, gory superhero comedy with substance and A-list actors. It’s fun, and entertaining, and worth seeing if you’re a fan, but doesn’t quite match the impact of the original.
