GREAT MINDS

Pre podcast meeting with Dave McAnally Sunday 5/4/2025

Hands down one of my more favorite podcasts. I first interviewed Lucia back in 2000 and she’s always entertaining. Max was a little more subdued he’d been to PickFest the day/night before but his contributions were important. Dave was on par. Just fucking brilliant when that guy sits in with us. He also converts the files for YouTube and hats off to JSIN Harmon for converting song files. Lucia and Sasha did their part by contributing tunes from their home in Germany.

Ate at Tank Noodle for lunch today with John P. I had Seafood Combination Stir Fried with fish cake, squid, and shrimp. on crispy noodles. Very first time I’ve ever had noodles crispy and I love it. Excellent service and a lovely waitress.

Always great hanging with John a real rock n roll brother who is in the know of the same music I like and the business side was well. Some of my favorite people to hang with are those who are as much into and knowledgeable about rock n roll. Detroit Jason and BH were also great company once upon a time for dining and dishing out chatter regarding rock music. No offense to outsiders but when you get it the company is so much better. Dave Ganz is just amazing to talk shop with and he is solely responsible for getting me into GHOST and more recently DOGMA. That guy knows me too well and it’s scary. I wish I can say I enjoy the new GHOST release as much as the others. Eric Mills, killer on all things LA rock n roll. He truly lived on the inside and has some really funny stories about it all. And of course Too Dark Mark, only more on the electronic fueled things music and business. I miss Marks visits. He’s another one that also has great taste in food.
And of course the great one, the GREAT NICK HUFFMAN who left us a month from today 3 years ago. The emptiness in me is as big as the man. So many stories we had to share with each other and a small fucking world at that. A true rock n roll business man who put everyone else first in his circle. He never judged me for who I am and the life I lead. He would have loved Melita.

Old Forester Statesman Straight Bourbon Whiskey

The week ended well. Late afternoon Sunday Gary and Eden came by to bring the new kitten who I’ve named “SPOOKY” after a song that has some meaning to both Melita and myself. He’s 6 months old and has all tests and vaccinations and is neutered. Right now he’s scared and today has been hiding behind the refrigerator. He’s loving and adorable and I cannot wait for him to learn his new home. I have 2 podcasts lined up Tuesday the 13th will be Larry prooting SEXCON 12025 and next Sunday I have both Nicole Bodie and Damon Bernklau with new music.
Eden also gave me two bottles of very fine tequila from the tequila company she works for. It was delicious.
