The day before Easter in between long walks and errands on the north side I break out Easter #2 baskets.
Last Easter I took Melita an Easter Basket with colored eggs into her at Output where we first met. It was awkward because the bar was very busy that day and instead of sitting at the bar we had to take a table at the front at one of the few table available. I had all of the contents jammed into my backpack so it wasn’t exactly an attractive presentation but she appreciated it. Previously that afternoon I had stopped into Candyality on Southport. A unique and expensive store for all things candy especially custom penny candy that I grew up with. Not a penny anymore that’s for certain. They have more candy than Willy Wonka! The Anchiskhati Basilica of St Mary is the oldest surviving church in Tbilisi, Georgia where Melita was baptized. It is a three-nave basilica dating back to the 6th century and is the oldest church building in Tbilisi. The current name of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is connected with the icon of the Savior that came here from Anchi Monastery in South Georgia in 1664.
4/21/2025 we were at the bank together, Easter Monday and Melita spied a bottle of Holy Water on the relationship managers desk. She kills me.
