Barkeep give me a drink, that’s when she caught my eye. She turned to give me a wink, that’d make a grown man cry

Friday 1/24/2025 I logged in 39 hours this week. Not normally a big deal but as of late, this is the most hours I’ve worked any week since the first week of November. Next week I should easily do 40 hours. THANKFULLY I work for some really good people. I would have been up the creek with any other frm. So instead of up the creek I’m back in the saddle again!

Podcasts are lining up again. I have Mark Panick on this Sunday, February 9th Peter Guellard’s latest project DEATH B¥ LØVE. The 16th will be Dave McAnally and Pete Berwick with new Derision Cult project and in between finally one with Melita and I next Saturday.

3 more hours of work on this home and everything will be right as rain.

Sunday 1/26/2025 My pre podcast Sunday morning sonic therapy consisted of this rarity

Just got this message from Danny the rhythm guitarist for ANGEL: “Alex, I seen you are coming to the Arcada, how many do you need on the guest list ?

We’re setting up a podcast ! This is a dream!

From today’s MKULTRASOUND PodCast Mark brought me some of his colored vinyl and CD’s to get me caught up.

the image above is from a Q&A from today’s KISS Trivia on the MKULTRASOUND PodCast

I’ll be booking a room in St Charles for the ANGEL show and am so pumped that there is a First Watch in Geneva Commons where I can eat the morning after before I take Metra home the day after. I love this chain more than any other. I’ve had it in Dallas, TX, Pittsburgh PA and Indianapolis, IN. Now to give my home state a shot.

And Mark just sent me this song/video tribute he did for his brother and my good friend Jay Panick who passed away a few years ago and much too soon. I commented it’ll make missing him easier. Ironically just last night Melita took a photo of a gift Jay gave me years ago that I have displayed in my living room.

According to Jay, SINNERS was an old car club from the Chicago burbs. This is a very heavy piece of thick steel. It’s been in my living room ever since he gifted it to me for my 50th birthday in New Glarus.

Monday 1/27/2025: I woke and work was very busy again. Today my work phone rang a lot. I was getting call backs while making calls. Something that hasn’t happened in months.Daniel gave me more good news, I have four hires on my next pay. It’s been a long time for that as well. Crossing my damned fingers that this keeps steady. Everything was perfect and then my brother called. BUZZ KILL. Oh well.

On lighter note it was a blessing of sorts not having more than 2 hours of work a day. Financially straining but I got this house to where I needed and wanted it to be.. I would Have never afforded myself to complete the task in full otherwise.

Now I’m tempted to cancel my nuptials since Leona came my way
