When Lady Gaga released Chromatica in 2020, she was backed by electronic music legends such as Skrillex, Axwell, and Boys Noize. Aiming to be a dance floor staple, the album came out as COVID-19 was still running rampant and she wasn’t able to deliver the songs to her fans in person for well over a year after the release. After returning to the big screen for a role in Joker: Folie à Deux, she will release her highly anticipated seventh album in February 2025. So far, she has only shared the driving single Disease, she has said that the album is driven by industrial dance music.
“I loved learning about industrial music and about all the different crevices of electronic music. One of the things I’ve probably been judged for in my career was not sticking to one thing. But not sticking to one thing is my life force,” said Lady Gaga. Along for the ride on the release is iconic producer Gesaffelstein, as well as others who will help her tap into that sound and style. With the calendar set to change in a few days, the countdown to the arrival of the newest era of Lady Gaga is in full effect.
