There’s a part of me, that you need to know. It’s the part that hurts. That’ll make you go. It’s like a slow flowing tide.Walk the loneliest mile.

The first full week of 2024 certainly did not disappoint, at all. Max Bravo and I were joined by Drew from I LOVE RICH at my new friend Eric’s bar the Brig for a New Years Eve Party. It was the first NYE I’ve spent out in ages. Well over a decade in fact.

Eric Mills came by Thursday and we took lunch at Lucy’s Uptown

GOLDEN BAKED BLISS CHEESE *NEW RELEASE*

Heat it and eat it! This baked, buttery and squeaky cheese is perfect for entertaining and snacking. Known as bread cheese in Wisconsin, we call this creation Golden Baked Bliss. Serve and eat it hot paired with your favorite sauce or condiment. We recommend marinara sauce or our Cherry Lavender Jam!

Net weight: 8 oz.

Preparation Instructions

Skillet: Pre-heat dry non-stick pan on medium-high. Place cheese on pan (it has natural oils so there is no cooking oil needed). Heat and brown about 5 minutes per side.

Grill: Place on grill over foil for 5 to 10 minutes until hot.

Oven: Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes

Microwave: Heat until hot (15 seconds to one minute)

Bought a round trip Amtrak ticket to Troy MI to celebrate Detroit Jason’s 50th birthday

We will be dining at this place and I hope to finish the burger and get my photo put on the wall

Greg Drunken and I went to Culver’s Friday night before the show at Carol’s Pub with the Jeff Givens Band. I has triple deluxe for the first time. way to roll.

Little did I realize how much fun the Jeff Givens Band show was going to be later that night at Carol’s. By far the most fun I’ve had all year and 5 days into 2024 things seemed to be going very well. Greg and I were joined by Max just minutes after walking in. And then I got to mixing with the band members.

Paulette left her hat on a table and I could not resist. This was long after they finished playing

Anna, I believe that’s her name came along with Sofia who I met at Output on Christmas Eve. They are both from teh country of Georgia which is also where Melita is from. Hopefully soon she’ll make an appearance on this page,

Max and Paulette

AZ and Paulette (with her hat back) As she did last April when I was sick and Amy was sick as well Paulette dedicated her take on the Beatles “Oh Darlin'” to me and I was smitten.

The band really brought the roof down. Always entertaining only this night they had an array of special guests join them onstage at Carol’s. Lori Wyatt joining Jeff onstage for a searing rendition of Cocker’s version of “The Letter!” And Jason Botka blowing harp on “Hard Livin’!”

I think the band and guests had a better time on-stage performing than we did watching them. It was a GREAT show to kick off the new year for sure.
