Originally released in the summer of 1991, “Kiss Them For Me,” was the first single from Siouxsie and the Banshees’ 10th studio album, Superstition. It quickly became their most successful US single, earning the number one position on the US Alternative Airplay chart, as well as a spot among the US Billboard Hot 100. The Banshees’ cryptic tribute to the colorful life of blonde bombshell, Jayne Mansfield, has earned its place in the hearts of post-punk and pop-loving fans alike over the course of its effervescent existence, spanning a multitude of genres, from hip-hop to bhangra.
The KVB’s “Kiss Them For Me” serves as a standout single from upcoming full-length feature, Spellbound – A Tribute To Siouxsie & The Banshees, available worldwide August 25th. This cover collection pays homage to the godmother of goth with a diverse range of amazing new talents, such as Kap Bambino, The KVB, Night Beats, and R.
