LIKE WHAT are an electrifying New York City-based project that can be best described as cinematic synth pop colliding with darkwave. Now, LIKE WHAT have just released their long-awaited second album, “Unpunctuated,” which includes their newest single entitled “Time To Let Go” along with a new eye-catching video. The album features a collection of meticulously crafted original songs along with a pair of layered and moody instrumentals that are actual theme songs for upcoming horror movies. What sets LIKE WHAT apart is their unique approach to creating music. Originally conceived by LIKE WHAT mastermind Balazs Imre as an experimental quarantine project during the pandemic lockdowns, LIKE WHAT’s captivating soundscapes are created entirely on an iPad and a guitar. Their self-produced compositions channel the very essence and atmosphere of the dark 1980s, complete with haunting lyrics, predominantly inspired by horror and film noir, that paint vivid imagery through a transcendent journey of movies and music.
