It’s not easy balancing the work with our jobs and events. As I do every year I braved the cold and attended the Lunar New Year Parade on Argyle and had very nice lunch. I’ve never been able to get any of my friends to go due to the cold. Except for 2020 just before COVID shut everything down. Stacy Washack who I had met when I was at the Looney Bin to see Tracii Guns joined me for the day.

Argyle Lunar New Year Celebration

12:00-4:00pm (parade kick-off at 1:00pm and only lasts 15 minutes)
The snow this year really added to the festive atmosphere. No complaints here.
Later that night at Wrigleyville North I got to meet my candidate for Mayor Paul Vallas who was very nice and actually took some time to speak with me.
I also got to meet and talk with the former State’s Attorney for Cook County, Anita Alvarez who was also very nice. I also spoke with 46th Ward Alderman Candidate Patrick Nagel at the same event. Not a bad day for an aging rock n roll cowboy.
