MOVIE REVIEW: The Pope’s Exorcist

review by Paul J. Baio

The Pope’s Exorcist is based on the real life adventures of Father Gabriele Amorth, who was a Catholic priest and Exorcist for the Diocese of Rome, as well as one the founders of the International Association of Exorcists. It can best be described as…, if The Exorcist was produced as a comic book movie. The movie seems pretty solid at first but by the final act, it goes so insanely over the top that it flies off the rails into a realm of ridiculousness in which there is no return…, and I loved it! Yes, it’s good and bad! I didn’t care because I was entertained and that’s all that matters.
