April 1st has been known as Cheap Trick Day in Illinois since 2007 and one fans don’t forget. It’s easy to see why the Rockford rock icons get their own day in Illinois as the numbers are impressive for Cheap Trick. They’ve sold more than 20 million records, performed in at least 5,000 concerts and have 40 gold and platinum awards and of course, a day named in their honor throughout the state of Illinois.
