Speaking of superb industrial cover versions, this week also marked the release of Denmark’s Leæther Strip and their cover version of German industrialists Rammstein’s “Du Hast!” Returning the favor to Rammstein for bringing the world’s attention to industrial music scenes outside the confines of the US, Leæther Strip’s Claus Larsen transforms “Du Hast” from a headbanging anthem into a gruesome groove that’s more danceable than damaging yet still has just as much power as the original.
