DANZIG<\/strong>\u00a0will play a string of rare live shows on the U.S. West Coast in late March 2025. Support on the trek, which will include cities\u00a0DANZIG<\/strong>\u00a0has not played in many years, will come from\u00a0DOWN<\/strong>,\u00a0ABBATH<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0CRO-MAGS<\/strong>. Exact cities and venues will be announced later this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DANZIG<\/strong>‘s latest album, “Black Laden Crown”<\/strong>, came out in May 2017 via Evilive Records<\/strong>\/Nuclear Blast Entertainment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danzig<\/strong>\u00a0released a collection of\u00a0Elvis Presley<\/strong>\u00a0covers,\u00a0“Danzig Sings Elvis”<\/strong>, in April 2020 and has been focusing on making films, including\u00a0“Death Rider In The House Of Vampires”<\/strong>\u00a0and his feature film directorial debut,\u00a0“Verotika”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glenn<\/strong>\u00a0has been talking about the end of his touring career since at least 2015. At that time, he told\u00a0Cleveland Scene<\/strong>: “I love being on stage and that’s the great part of touring. I’ll always do that. It’s the bouncing around on a bus. That’s the part I hate.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When DANZIG<\/strong>, the band, grew out of the MISFITS<\/strong>\/SAMHAIN<\/strong> lineage in 1987, leader Glenn Danzig<\/strong> went into the new project with even grander ambitions and a long-term design. Between 1977 and 1987, the MISFITS<\/strong>‘ horror-punk morphed into the darker, occult-steeped SAMHAIN<\/strong>. When producer and record mogul Rick Rubin<\/strong> showed interest in signing SAMHAIN<\/strong> to his Def Jam<\/strong> label and producing their first record, the band yet again evolved, and DANZIG<\/strong> was born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DOWN<\/strong> is the long-running heavy metal supergroup featuring vocalist Philip H. Anselmo<\/strong>, guitarist Kirk Windstein<\/strong>, guitarist Pepper Keenan<\/strong>, drummer Jimmy Bower<\/strong> and bassist Pat Bruders<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DOWN<\/strong> hasn’t issued anything since the arrival of the “Down IV \u2013 Part Two”<\/strong> EP in May 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Down IV \u2013 Part Two”<\/strong> sold around 10,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release in May 2014 to debut at position No. 23 on The Billboard 200 chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The band’s previous EP, “Down IV Part I \u2013 The Purple EP”<\/strong>, opened with around 12,000 units in September 2012 to land at No. 35.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
