Two of Ministry\u2019s<\/strong> seminal albums are set for re-releases next month as part of Rhino\u2019s annual Rocktober <\/strong>campaign offering limited-edition vinyl by iconic Warner Music artists. On October 4<\/strong>, deluxe editions of 1986\u2019s Twitch<\/em><\/strong> and 1988\u2019sThe Land of Rape and Honey<\/em><\/strong> will be available at local record stores while supplies last. Ministry\u2019s 16th<\/sup> studio album HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES <\/em><\/strong>is also out now via Nuclear Blast Records<\/strong> and streaming on all networks, featuring single \u201cGoddamn White Trash,\u201d<\/strong><\/a> plus \u201cJust Stop Oil,\u201d<\/strong><\/a> as well as \u201cB.D.E.\u201d<\/strong><\/a> and \u201cNew Religion.\u201d<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joined by Ministry\u2019s current frontline of musicians \u2013 creator and mastermind Al Jourgensen<\/strong>, John Bechdel<\/strong> (keyboards), Monte Pittman<\/strong> and Cesar Soto <\/strong>(guitars), Roy Mayorga <\/strong>(drums) and Paul D\u2019Amour <\/strong>(bass) \u2013 HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES <\/em><\/strong>also has a slew of special guest contributors including Gogol Bordello\u2019s Eugene Hutz, <\/strong>long-time collaborator and Lard <\/strong>companion Jello Biafra <\/strong>and Corrosion of Conformity<\/strong> frontman Pepper Keenan.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ABOUT MINISTRY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born in 1981 in Chicago, Ministry has been the lifetime passion project of founder Al Jourgensen, considered to be the pioneer of industrial music. In its early days, Ministry was identifiable by its heavy synth-pop material in line with the new sounds and technology that were being developed in the \u201880s. Ministry\u2019s output began with four 12\u201d singles on Wax Trax! Records in 1981 before the first LP With Sympathy <\/em>in 1983 via Arista Records. As time progressed however, so did Ministry, quickly developing a harsher, and more stylized sound that the band soon became infamous for on seminal albums Twitch<\/em> (1986), The Land of Rape and Honey <\/em>(1988), and The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste<\/em> (1989). With the release of Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and The Way to Suck Eggs<\/em> (1992), Ministry hit an all-time high in the mainstream musical realm and received its first Grammy nomination. In total, Ministry has been nominated for a Grammy award six times. Eight more albums would follow before an indefinite break in 2013, only to be unearthed again in 2018 with AmeriKKKant<\/em>, continuing to reflect Jourgensen\u2019s views on the frightening state of society and politics. The 2021 album Moral Hygiene<\/em> marked a new creative era of Jourgensen and the band. Ministry\u2019s 16th<\/sup> studio album, HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES, <\/strong><\/em>was released March 1, 2024 via Nuclear Blast Records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
