Today, marks the release of the cryptically entitled album \u2018III I II (THIRD EYE GEMINI)\u2019 by genCAB. genCAB frontman David Dutton put his group on hold following the release of their debut album \u2018II transMuter\u2019 in 2008. The band finally returned in 2022 with the long-awaited follow-up \u2018Thoughts Beyond Words.’ In 2023, genCAB signed to Metropolis Records, with the album \u2018Signature Flaws\u2019 appearing that autumn. Having issued the \u2018Let It Rip\u2019 EP in late August, its lead track \u2018Six Hits (Let It Be)’ is included on \u2018III I II (THIRD EYE GEMINI),’ half of which is a modern day update of the best material from their debut album, with the remainder being brand-new tracks inspired by the re-recordings. “This album was more or less the happiest of accidents,\u201d states Dutton. \u201cAlthough the majority of it is a set of remakes, I was disconnected from it for years for various reasons. I was young and a completely different person when it was originally released. I also did not have the skill to finish a song in a way I considered to be professional sounding, so I just avoided listening back to it for years. I eventually reevaluated it and recognized aspects of myself that I thought had disappeared.\u201d \u2018III I II (THIRD EYE GEMINI)\u2019 is available from Metropolis Records on all digital and streaming platforms along with a CD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
