On the trail of their recently-released debut ‘CL. 1’ album<\/strong><\/a>, Brooklyn post-punk \/ alternative rock outfit CLONE<\/strong><\/a> present the timely single ‘Immutable’<\/strong><\/a>, a powerful anthem for the ordinary people who form the backbone of our society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delving deep into the ongoing, persistent struggle between the vast majority of people and a small, elite class, Clone explores how wealth and power are systematically extracted from the masses. A passionate call to action, ‘Immutable’ demands immediate attention to the pressing political and economic issues facing our world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This song is about us. The 99% that is working to keep it all moving forward. The history of the poor has never truly been told. ‘Immutable’ is the story of the 99% and how the 1% take it all from the masses,” says frontman LG Galleon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Released via Portland label Little Cloud Records<\/strong><\/a> and North Carolina’s <\/strong>5BC Records<\/strong><\/a>, this is an album born from a seemingly lost wellspring of shared imagination and a youthful transformative power. Earlier, the band shared iconoclastic singles ‘Dividing Line’<\/a> <\/strong>and ‘Redeemer’<\/strong><\/a>, each of them packed with their own dose of firepowder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recorded and mixed by NYC legendary producer Martin Bisi<\/strong><\/a> (Sonic Youth, Swans, Brian Eno, John Zorn, Herbie Hancock, Iggy Pop, Helmet, Dresden Dolls)<\/strong> at his famed BC Studio<\/strong><\/a> (which was built by Brian Eno<\/strong>), ‘CL.1’ is a truly impressive debut album. Produced by LG Galleon<\/strong><\/a> and Bisi, this record was mastered by Fred Kevorkian<\/strong><\/a>(The White Stripes, Sonic Youth, Juliana Hatfield, Pharaoh Sanders, Regina Spektor, Cassandra Wilson, Lloyd Cole)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most exciting new post-punk bands on the scene these days, each member of Clone is of strong musical lineage. Dead Leaf Echo<\/strong><\/a> frontman LG Galleon <\/strong>is joined by NYC musicians Gregg Giufree (Pilot to Gunner), Max Idas <\/strong>and Dominick Turi. <\/strong>Today, their live line-up includes Paul Liziragga (Namesake) <\/strong>and Alex Cox (The Veldt)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A passionate attempt to revive the kind of music that once profoundly resonated with the isolated and vulnerable, Clone’s music possesses a transformative power, capable of inspiring through its galvanizing, redemptive power. Drawing on the raw energy and boundless creativity of youth, Clone has created a personal sonic world that they now invite us all to experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
