Free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Experimental Los Angeles group&nbsp;<strong>Carnage Asada<\/strong>&nbsp;are celebrating their album release on Friday, August 23 at the&nbsp;<strong>Anna Broome Room<\/strong>&nbsp;at&nbsp;<strong>Art Share L.A<\/strong>. (801 E 4th Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90013). It is an all ages venue and all are welcome.&nbsp;<strong>Carnage Asada<\/strong>&nbsp;are an integral part of the tapestry and history of the SoCal punk scene. Featuring members who\u2019ve played in bands such as&nbsp;Alice Bag Band, the&nbsp;BellRays,&nbsp;Saccharine Trust, and Legal Weapon. The new album titled,&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;<em>Head On A Platter<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(<strong>Historical Records<\/strong>) will be available as CD, vinyl LP and as digital download.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Carnage Asada started as a solid, straightforward, intense punk outfit but they have evolved into a complex, energetic punk jazz orchestra.<\/em>\u201d&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>Alice Bag<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Carnage Asada&#8230;are one of the most original sounding bands I\u2019ve ever worked with. Their one of a kind mashup of street poetry, psychedelia, and dada, augmented by a thunderous rock beat, tears up the stage everywhere they play, and is an instant crowd pleaser.<\/em>\u201d&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>Geza X<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;I&nbsp;saw them at the Tower Bar in City Heights my neighborhood.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I hear Los Angeles in the music, bus stops, street scenes, brown punks on dope. D.U.I? D.W.I? Reckless endangerment, I thought of Travis Bickle ready to explode.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I thought of walking through my trash filled alley on the way to the liquor store to spend the last of the rent money on booze. &nbsp;Waking up in Rosarito hung over on tequila.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I thought of Keroac on the Steve Allen show, and Bukowski who said, \u2018I like desperate men who lead desperate lives!&#8217;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Stories lived and shared right here right now, not sitting on the couch dreaming of fame!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I thought of that one creative writing teacher who told me to keep writing.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>It&#8217;s rare but it happens sometimes, that night at the Tower Bar I was right where I was supposed to be.<\/em>\u201d&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>Javier Escovedo, the Zeros<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Watch their 30 Year Retrospective, filmed live at&nbsp;<strong>Art Share<\/strong>&nbsp;in downtown Los Angeles in early 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"nv-iframe-embed\"><iframe title=\"CARNAGE ASADA - 30 YEARS! By 1993,\u00a0<strong>Carnage Asada<\/strong>\u00a0was officially formed. The band has gigged regularly since then playing virtually every legendary L.A. venue including\u00a0<strong>Al\u2019s Bar<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Mr. T\u2019s Bowl<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Bar Deluxe<\/strong>, and Travis\u2019 many self-produced stages including early generator parties and the club he owned called\u00a0<strong>Caf\u00e9<\/strong><strong>\u00a0NELA<\/strong>\u00a0(2013-2019). The group has been featured in the\u00a0<em>L.A.Weekly<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The L.A. Beat<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Flipside<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Sparkplug Magazine<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Razorcake<\/em>\u00a0and more.
