This is something that will excite fans of the franchise. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly,\u00a0Ti West<\/a>\u00a0mentioned his idea for a fourth film in the franchise. He stated,\u00a0\u201cI do have one idea that plays into these movies that could maybe happen\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the interview, Ti West stated, \u201cI do have one idea that plays into these movies that could maybe happen. I don\u2019t know if it\u2019ll be next. It might be. We\u2019ll see. I\u2019ll say that, if there\u2019s more to be done in this X franchise, it\u2019s certainly not what people are expecting it to be.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He then said,\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s not just picking up again a few years later and whatever. It\u2019s different in the way that\u00a0Pearl\u00a0was an unexpected departure. It\u2019s another unexpected departure.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first film in the franchise,\u00a0X<\/a>, was released in 2022 and was a huge success. The film made $15.1M on a $1M budget. It received great reviews earning a 95% Critic and 75% Audience scores on\u00a0Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>. The next film,\u00a0Pearl<\/a><\/em>, was also released in 2022 and is a prequel to the first film. It was also a big success making $10.1M on a $1M budget. It received great reviews earning a 93% Critic and 83% Audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MaXXXine<\/a>, which is the 3rd installment in the franchise, is set to be released in theaters on July 5th of this year. It follows the story of adult film star and aspiring actress Maxine Minx finally gets her big break. However, as a mysterious killer stalks the starlets of Los Angeles, a trail of blood threatens to reveal her sinister past. It is a direct sequel to X and stars\u00a0Mia Goth<\/a>,\u00a0Kevin Bacon<\/a>, Giancarlo Esposito, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
