{"id":7183,"date":"2024-04-06T16:03:09","date_gmt":"2024-04-06T21:03:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mkultramagazine.com\/?p=7183"},"modified":"2024-04-06T16:03:11","modified_gmt":"2024-04-06T21:03:11","slug":"ac-dc-shares-remastered-hd-video-of-jailbreak-1976-performance-in-london","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mkultramagazine.com\/?p=7183","title":{"rendered":"AC\/DC Shares Remastered HD Video Of &#8216;Jailbreak&#8217; 1976 Performance In London"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"225\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/mkultramagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/ACDC.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7184\" style=\"width:451px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mkultramagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/ACDC.jpg 225w, https:\/\/mkultramagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/ACDC-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Legendary hard rockers&nbsp;<strong>AC\/DC<\/strong>&nbsp;have shared a remastered HD video of a performance of their classic song&nbsp;<strong>&#8220;Jailbreak&#8221;<\/strong>, filmed in 1976 in London, England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a social media posted,\u00a0<strong>AC\/DC<\/strong>\u00a0shared the\u00a0<strong>YouTube<\/strong>\u00a0clip and wrote: &#8220;Not aired in 40 years, check out this promo clip of the band performing\u00a0<strong>&#8216;Jailbreak&#8217;<\/strong>, shot in London in July 1976, remastered in HD!&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The footage was shot at\u00a0<strong>AC\/DC<\/strong>&#8216;s first non-Australian TV performance, which took place at Wimbledon Theatre in London on July 13, 1976 as part of the\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Super Pop &#8211; Rollin&#8217; Bolan&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"nv-iframe-embed\"><iframe title=\"AC\/DC - Jailbreak (1976 London Clip)\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FAiXeTDGHpo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AC\/DC<\/strong>&#8216;s first show in seven years took place on October 7, 2023 at the&nbsp;<strong>Power Trip<\/strong>&nbsp;festival in Indio, California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In its announcement about&nbsp;<strong>Laug<\/strong>&#8216;s addition to the band&#8217;s&nbsp;<strong>Power Trip<\/strong>&nbsp;lineup,&nbsp;<strong>AC\/DC<\/strong>&nbsp;offered no explanation for the absence of the band&#8217;s longtime drummer&nbsp;<strong>Phil Rudd<\/strong>, who rejoined&nbsp;<strong>AC\/DC<\/strong>&nbsp;for the recording of the group&#8217;s comeback album,&nbsp;<strong>&#8220;Power Up&#8221;<\/strong>, which came out in November 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rudd<\/strong>\u00a0was ousted from\u00a0<strong>AC\/DC<\/strong>\u00a0when he was sentenced to eight months of home detention by a New Zealand court in 2015 after pleading guilty to charges of threatening to kill and drug possession. He was replaced on the band&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Rock Or Bust&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0tour by\u00a0<strong>Chris Slade<\/strong>, who had previously served as\u00a0<strong>AC\/DC<\/strong>&#8216;s drummer between 1989 and 1994, playing on the album\u00a0<strong>&#8220;The Razor&#8217;s Edge&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The follow-up to 2014&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Rock Or Bust&#8221;<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Power Up&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0was recorded over a six-week period in August and September 2018 at\u00a0<strong>Warehouse Studios<\/strong>\u00a0in Vancouver with producer\u00a0<strong>Brendan O&#8217;Brien<\/strong>, who also worked 2008&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Black Ice&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Rock Or Bust&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Legendary hard rockers&nbsp;AC\/DC&nbsp;have shared a remastered HD video of a performance of their classic song&nbsp;&#8220;Jailbreak&#8221;, filmed in 1976 in London, England.
