“There\u2019s a LOT going on in the world right now\u2026wars, elections, social injustice\u2026so the goal here was to at least get people to think a little, and maybe, just maybe, we won\u2019t monkey-see-monkey-do ourselves into extinction. Planet of the Apes doesn\u2019t sound that sci-fi anymore does it?<\/em>\u00a0We wanted to push the possibilities with\u00a0<\/em>Ministry<\/em><\/strong>\u2019s coffee, and all the conversation at the time kept coming back to doing a ‘concept album’ so who better to do this with than\u00a0<\/em>Ministry<\/em><\/strong>. The obvious takeaway is the universal proverb ‘see no evil, hear no evil,’ but we all really wanted to focus on the ridiculous parallel of the static evolution of the primate vs. mankind\u2019s dynamic rise and primal instinct to destroy itself; the classic tortoise vs. the hare, where the finish line is the edge of oblivion and the hare is retrofitted with radioactive ‘roids. We wanted to blend these to contrast in the roast as well, hence you get a little bit of scorched earth sweetened like ripe fruit falling of the vine. But the jewel here is it\u2019s the first time we\u2019ve experimented with 3D metallics as noticeable in the gears and barbell piercing bar piercing the sides of the bag; talk about evolution. It\u2019s also super important for us to illuminate the fact that these are the artists\u2019 coffee stories, not our own, we\u2019re just the chaotic-evil little elves that help them conjure their visions and forge them into reality for the fans.

We\u2019re not here to snobbishly push conventional coffee culture upon Metalheads either, nor we will we ever try to flip a quick gimmick on our Metal brothers & sisters to make a quick buck. We\u2019re humbled literally everyday with this responsibility, and the opportunity to work with Metal legends. This is why we are constantly pushing the boundaries and possibilities, because foremost we believe there is no other comparison to the dedicated devotion metalheads have in keeping Metal music alive and stronger than ever! Metal deserves the absolute best when it comes to coffee!

Reality is coffee culture has become basic cookie-cutter over the past couple of decades; so safe and just a shell of itself which once fueled artists and their music across several generations. We want to revive that creative fire, and as far as playing it safe\u2026it\u2019s metal, motorcycles, & horror\u2026what did you expect?!
