Rob Zombie<\/strong> has been rejoined by bassist Rob “Blasko” Nicholson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The news comes just hours after the shock rocker’s longtime bassist\u00a0Matt “Piggy D.” Montgomery<\/strong>\u00a0announced that he was exiting the band after 18 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“After 18 years I am thrilled to announce that\u00a0Blasko<\/strong>\u00a0has returned,”\u00a0Zombie<\/strong>\u00a0wrote on\u00a0Instagram<\/strong>\u00a0earlier today (Tuesday, January 30). “The original four-string\u00a0Zombie<\/strong>\u00a0monster is back. Get ready for a crazy summer of mayhem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blasko<\/strong> was a member of Rob Zombie<\/strong>‘s band from 1997 through 2006, playing bass on the first three Zombie<\/strong> albums: “Hellbilly Deluxe”<\/strong>, “The Sinister Urge”<\/strong> and “Educated Horses”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nicholson<\/strong> left ZOMBIE<\/strong> in May 2006 in order to join Ozzy Osbourne<\/strong>‘s recording\/touring band.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Montgomery<\/strong>‘s debut performance with\u00a0ROB ZOMBIE<\/strong>\u00a0came on May 24, 2006 during an appearance on\u00a0CBS<\/strong>‘s\u00a0“Late Night Show with David Letterman”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Montgomery<\/strong> played bass on the Rob Zombie<\/strong> studio albums “Hellbilly Deluxe 2”<\/strong> (2010),“Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor”<\/strong> (2013),“The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser”<\/strong> (2016) and “The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy”<\/strong> (2021).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the fall of 2022, John 5<\/strong> left ROB ZOMBIE<\/strong> to join M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE<\/strong> as the replacement for that band’s co-founding guitarist Mick Mars<\/strong>. John 5<\/strong> has since been replaced in Zombie<\/strong>‘s band by returning guitarist Mike Riggs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rob Zombie<\/strong>‘s current band consists of\u00a0Zombie<\/strong>,\u00a0Riggs<\/strong>,\u00a0Blasko<\/strong>\u00a0and drummer\u00a0Ginger Fish<\/strong>, who has played with\u00a0Rob<\/strong>\u00a0since 2011.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this week,\u00a0Zombie<\/strong>\u00a0announced his 2024\u00a0“Freaks On Parade”<\/strong>\u00a0co-headlining tour with\u00a0Alice Cooper<\/strong>, featuring support from\u00a0MINISTRY<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0FILTER<\/strong>.
