RUSSELL \/ GUNS<\/strong> marks the beginning of a fresh artistic partnership between two legendary figures of Los Angeles hard rock: Jack Russell<\/strong> and Tracii Guns<\/strong>, accompanied by Johnny Martin<\/strong>, Shane Fitzgibbon<\/strong> and Alexandro Del Vecchio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pair have announced an upcoming new studio album,\u00a0“Medusa”<\/strong>, to be released January 12, 2024 via\u00a0Frontiers Music Srl<\/strong>. To kick off the announcement is the first single\u00a0“Next In Line”<\/strong>, which showcases\u00a0Jack<\/strong>‘s stellar vocals and\u00a0Tracii<\/strong>‘s always-clear and catchy riffs and is the first shot at showing just what a powerhouse\u00a0RUSSELL \/ GUNS<\/strong>\u00a0is to contemporary hard rock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commenting on the partnership,\u00a0Guns<\/strong>\u00a0said: “Jack<\/strong>\u00a0is one of the greatest rock voices of our generation. It’s a total honor to play guitar on this record.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Russell<\/strong>, this project represents a long-awaited return to recording and new music, coming seven years after the release of “He Saw It Comin'”<\/strong> with JACK RUSSELL’S GREAT WHITE<\/strong>. Instead of dwelling on the past and attempting to recreate the storied origins of the multi-platinum hard rock entity, Jack<\/strong> is excited to be moving forward and collaborating with none other than Guns<\/strong>, an artist experiencing a creative resurgence of his own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On “Medusa”<\/strong>, Jack<\/strong> and Tracii<\/strong> have discovered a common thread in a collection of songs that draw from the bluesy power and heavy energy of their most celebrated material and roots, yet infused with a fresh, energetic drive and modern metallic production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the album,\u00a0Jack<\/strong>\u00a0had this to say: “It was so great making a record with\u00a0Tracii<\/strong>! Initially, I had my reservations about making this record, but in the end it kicks ass. I’ll play with\u00a0Tracii<\/strong>\u00a0anytime!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
