With lyrics like, \u201cWho is afraid to live without fear, turn up the noise so you disappear, I spent too much time knowin\u2019 it without knowin\u2019 why,\u201d we seem to be witnessing a heated internal negotiation on how to cope with life on life\u2019s terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With wide-ranging inspirations, MMBD bring their creations to life like an electric Frankenstein sewn from sounds reminiscent of iconic artists like Rammstein, Ghost and Rocky Horror Picture Show. Dave \u201cRave\u201d Ogilvie, Canadian record producer, mixer, songwriter, and musician (Skinny Puppy, Jakalope, NIN, David Bowie, Tool, Ministry), described working with MMBD by explaining, \u201cWhen I first started working with MMBD, it had all the features of music I love to work on. Power drums, driving bass, edgy synths, massive guitars, catchy lyrics, and an awesome disco feel!\u201d Dave continued his time with MMBD by working on \u201cKnowing It Without Knowing Why\u201d, and he knows that this release will only continue the upward musical success for MMBD. Lead singer EVO is joined by Jon Kristian on guitar and synth to create infectious melodies and hard-hitting riffs that stick with listeners even after the song has ended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Frontman EVO founded MMBD with lead guitar\/synth player Jon Kristian at a transitional time in life; early in recovery from addiction, the two connected over their mutual passion for metal and bonded over their personal journeys. EVO describes himself as \u201cA shaman of music and love magic, a communicator who is also flawed but has been broken enough to be honest and share in the healing&#8230;.and still learning.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Early on in their career, MMBD was described as Disco-Metal, and since then the group has transformed their sound to include sonic elements of synth-wave and cyberpunk.&nbsp;A unique combination of groove and dance-oriented rhythms is paired with a pop-y melodic and theatrical musical approach to set MMBD on an entirely new level than most artists in neighboring genres.
