The single, \u201cWhere The Demons Lie\u201d covers topics of addiction, toxic relationships, self-reflection, and discovery. The incredibly creative and hard-hitting music video was shot in only nine hours, and through powerful performances from band members, Stringfield explores the darkness of the subject matter at hand. \u201cWhere The Demons Lie\u201d music video premiered in front of Nikki\u2019s fans last night at her album release party at Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach, CA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"nv-iframe-embed\"><iframe title=\"Nikki Stringfield - Where The Demons Lie (Official Video)\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Y0y6zledURI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Directed by Vicente Cordero of Industrialism Films, Nikki and her bandmates were able to bring the song to its full power and showcase their chemistry by performing live on camera. Featuring Nikki herself, Patrick Kennison (Lita Ford, Heaven Below, Union Underground), Shad Wilhelm (Heaven Below), and Jesse Davidson (Ryder Waite), the music video features haunting imagery and exploration of the darkest parts of self-reflection. Nikki shared, this song is about \u201cfacing down your demons, which could be anything from addiction, toxic people\/relationships, or self-inflicted traumas. For me, this song is about overcoming the past and any demons attached to it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cWe shot this video in just nine hours on one of the hottest days of the year in Long Beach, and we had a blast! Working with Industrialism Films was so fun and easy and I love their creative vision.. filming with the &#8220;demon&#8221; in the mirrors and seeing how it turned out on camera is incredible.\u201d <\/em>\u2013 Nikki Stringfield<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This new release gives listeners a taste of her album, \u201cApocrypha\u201d out today, which is a totally independent album that has received no help from labels and has been described as \u201chard rock with touches of metal\u201d featuring varied harmonies, catchy hooks and riffs, ingenious songwriting, and powerhouse vocals that fans of Nikki all know and love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nikki shares, \u201cWhere The Demons Lie\u201d actually started out as our least favorite, but after we finished the vocals it became the choice for the first single.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I love horror movies, so a lot of that comes across in my lyrics with a touch of creepiness in the music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Patrick and I are both huge \u201cAlice in Chains\u201d fans, so that had a lot of influence on the haunting backing vocals\/harmonies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">About Nikki Stringfield:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Hailing from Dallas, Texas, and touring alongside many prolific tribute bands throughout the years such as The Iron Maidens and Heaven Below, Nikki Stringfield has been gearing towards a solo album for many years.
