The connections are all the ways someone can be hiding a monster. The album\u2019s songs deal with life in the internet\/social media age, culminating with the song &#8220;Your Browser Is&#8221; &#8211; a comment on targeted information.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Musically,&nbsp;<em><strong>Monsters<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;has two distinct sections: the first six songs were given a club-vibe while the second eight songs were based on Steve Vil\u2019s time as a soundtrack composer: &#8220;Requiem&#8221;, for example, began as an instrumental piece used in the climactic overdose death scene of a character in one of the films Vil scored. Furthermore, the aforementioned closing track, &#8220;Your Browser Is&#8221;, hints towards&nbsp;<strong>Elektrikil<\/strong>l\u2019s future sound: a heavy beat, spooky synths and huge bursts of industrial noise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vil\u2019s musical influences range from early industrial innovators like\u00a0<strong>Cabaret Voltaire, Gary Numan, Skinny Puppy\u00a0<\/strong>&amp;<strong>\u00a0Ministry\u00a0<\/strong>to the future industrial sound makers like\u00a0<strong>KMFDM, Laibach<\/strong>\u00a0&amp;\u00a0<strong>Rammstein<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"nv-iframe-embed\"><iframe title=\"Elektrikill: Your Browser Is - Official Video\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nkQZuBjivqc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong>&#8220;Your Browser Is&#8221; &#8211; Elektrikill<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/elektrikill.bandcamp.com\/album\/monsters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Buy\/Stream Elektrikill Via Bandcamp Now<\/a><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>Elektrikill<\/strong>\u00a0was formed by industrial musician, Steve Vil in 2021.<br>\u00a0<br>Vil was the founder of the industrial band\u00a0<strong>Signal To Noise<\/strong>\u00a0whose first album\u00a0<strong><em>We\u2019re Here To Help<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0was released in 2000 before Vil broke up the band. Two songs from the album;\u00a0embryonic versions of\u00a0<em>Drugs And Candy<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>That Will Be What Kills Me<\/em>\u00a0appeared on the soundtrack for the award-winning film,<br><strong><em>Grace And The Storm<\/em><\/strong>.<br>\u00a0<br>Vil played in other bands before moving into film soundtrack work. Vil\u2019s first film score was for the horror\/comedy,\u00a0<strong><em>The Pizza Man<\/em><\/strong>. Vil also scored the film,\u00a0<strong><em>Coma<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0for acclaimed Shudder director Jeremiah Kipp before scoring the horror\/comedy,\u00a0<strong><em>No Clowning Around<\/em>.<\/strong>\u00a0Vil also wrote and performed the theme music for the anthology series,\u00a0<strong>Horror Shop Radio<\/strong>\u00a0while the new version of\u00a0<em><strong>Drugs And Candy<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>will be the theme song for the forthcoming TV series of the same name.<br>\u00a0<br>Though he occasionally performs with an additional keyboardist, Vil ordinarily performs solo, accompanied by his synthesizer and a multimedia show including TV-headed mannequins, projections and a satanic clown.
