Los Angeles, CA (August 1st, 2023)<\/strong> – Best described as \u201cPost Dark Rock\u201d, Skum Love blows audiences away with their heavy-hitting, gut-punching pure metal sound. Formed in Los Angeles, Skum Love has had a rotating band of musicians who has featured members of Fear Factory, Danzig, Skinny Puppy, Static-X and Prong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skum Love\u2019s newest single, \u201cTurbo Lover XL\u201d released today August 1st, as a cover of the classic \u201cTurbo Lover\u201d from Judas Priest in 1986, this new and improved version is a heavier and harder version than the original – hence the \u201cXL.\u201d This is the first track produced at Skum Love\u2019s own studio \u201cRoom 13\u201d with extra tracking at LeftCoast Recordings in Sun Valley, California. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The song features DJ Rattan (Powerman 5000<\/a>) on Drums, Carlton Bost (Orgy<\/a>) on Synth & Electronics & a ripping solo by Patrick Kennison (Lita Ford<\/a>\/Heaven Below<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is the song I\u2019ve always wanted to do as I love the original but thought it could always have more guitar and be a little more industrial than the 80s synth that it was. So I felt it was the right time as we were getting back in the saddle, after the world closed down. I wanted to do something hard and heavy.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s very different than the original but I hope Rob Halford and the guys enjoy what we\u2019ve turned it into.\u201d -Skum Love<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To revamp their reputation in Hollywood\u2019s most notorious nightclubs and bars for their musical debauchery, Skumlove will also be returning to the stage for the first time in two years on August 27th at the world-famous Whiskey a Go Go on Sunset Strip, where band leader and singer Skum will be celebrating his 50th birthday. Joined by bands including A Trigger Within, System 6, Hillblocksview, and Dave Dramedy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
