Says Matlock on the&nbsp;<em>\u201c<\/em><strong><em>Head On A Stick\u201d&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>single,&nbsp;<em>\u201cPeeved at the predictable but ultimately pointless political lurch to the right that has happened in the West over the past few years, one which has been aided and abetted by the vested interests of a client press, I put pen to paper and plectrum to guitar to compose a song that\u2019s a call to arms, a wake up alarm and primal open your eyes scream.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Glen continues,&nbsp;<em>\u201c<\/em><em>It might be easy to be wise after the event but some saw where we were headed and in the words of \u2018Pete Seeger\u2019 attempted to hammer out a warning.\u201d<\/em><em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>We always thought it can\u2019t happen here but it sadly most definitely has and heads should justifiably roll\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Set to be released on&nbsp;<strong>April 28, 2023<\/strong>, the new full-length studio album&nbsp;<strong><em>Consequences Coming<\/em><\/strong><br>will be made available in Digital and specially packaged CD format.&nbsp;<strong>The vinyl format is now available for PRE-ORDER HERE:<\/strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/glenmatlock.tmstor.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/glenmatlock.tmstor.es\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cThe album was written and recorded in Britain over the last 18 months or so with a posse of seasoned but on point performers.\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;says Matlock.&nbsp;<em>\u201cAll done during the debacle that is Brexit and the rise and fall of the turgid Trump episode in the US. The original bassist and songwriter of the Sex Pistols,&nbsp;<em>Matlock<\/em>&nbsp;is responsible for co-penning some of history\u2019s most iconic songs, \u201cAnarchy In The UK,\u201d \u201cGod Save The Queen\u201d and \u201cPretty Vacant\u201d.&nbsp; After his time with The Sex Pistols, Matlock went on to form several well-regarded bands including Rich Kids (with Midge Ure).&nbsp; He has collaborated with such artists as Iggy Pop, and Primal Scream, and is also a highly in-demand player, playing live with the likes of the legendary reformed Faces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Matlock&nbsp;has released several solo studio albums, most recently engaging legendary guitarist Earl Slick (David Bowie \/ John Lennon) and Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats) for his 2018 effort, GOOD TO GO.&nbsp;
