L.A. Guns<\/strong>\u00a0frontman\u00a0Phil Lewis<\/strong>\u00a0was recently interviewed by\u00a0Shannon Wilks<\/strong>\u00a0for\u00a0Rockin\u2019 Interviews<\/strong>.\u00a0Lewis<\/strong>\u00a0was promoting\u00a0L.A. Guns<\/strong>\u00a0upcoming new\u00a0studio album\u00a0Black Diamonds<\/em>, which will be released via\u00a0Frontiers Music Srl<\/strong>\u00a0on April 14, 2023. This will be the fourth\u00a0L.A. Guns<\/strong>\u00a0full-length studio album featuring\u00a0Lewis<\/strong>\u00a0and guitarist\u00a0Tracii Guns<\/strong>\u00a0since the duo officially reunited as \u201cL.A. Guns<\/strong>\u201d in December 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of his relationship with Guns<\/strong>, Lewis<\/strong> indicated (as provided by Rockin\u2019 Interviews<\/strong>): \u201cThe reunion was about six years ago and the way we were then was very similar to the early days when I joined the band. We\u2019d spent a long time apart, we hadn\u2019t spoken to each other in 15 years and that\u2019s so crazy. Our objective is to make up for lost time which is why we banged out four records in five years. We have a reputation of going through band members like Kleenex, I think we\u2019re up to like 58 members that can say they\u2019ve been in L.A. Guns<\/strong>, but at the end of the day it just comes down to two and that\u2019s me and him (Tracii Guns<\/strong>).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With respect to the upcoming album from Riley\u2019s L.A. Guns<\/strong>, Lewis<\/strong> stated: \u201cNo (I don\u2019t believe there is competition there). I don\u2019t believe there are two L.A. Guns<\/strong>, there\u2019s Riley\u2019s L.A. Guns<\/strong>\u2026 give me a break. They put something together for all the wrong reasons and it was annoying but we dealt with it and it\u2019s gone away. There was no doubt that they were going to continue as L.A. Guns<\/strong> and it had to be sorted out because that would\u2019ve been a big problem. At that point we were four years into the reunion, we put out these great records, we\u2019re making great progress and that came along and could\u2019ve fucked everything up. I\u2019m not bothered about it in the slightest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
