L.A. Guns<\/strong> frontman Phil Lewis<\/strong> was recently interviewed by Shannon Wilks<\/strong> for Rockin\u2019 Interviews<\/strong>. L.A. Guns<\/strong> consisting of Lewis<\/strong> on lead vocals, Tracii Guns<\/strong> and Ace Von Johnson<\/strong> on guitar, Johnny Martin<\/strong> on bass, and Adam Hamilton<\/strong> (studio) and Shawn Duncan<\/strong> (live) on drums, will be releasing a new studio album titled Black Diamonds<\/em> via Frontiers Music Srl<\/strong> on April 14, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lewis<\/strong> revealed that the current version of L.A. Guns<\/strong> actually almost recently broke up as he indicated (as provided by Rockin\u2019 Interviews<\/strong>):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve recently gone through a whole bunch of infrastructure changes, we\u2019ve got new management. I was real fond of our old manager, he did a bit more than manage, he was very much an invisible member of the band. He was a big part of the reason that I had agreed to do the reunion. I had always said to Scotty<\/strong> (their former manager), \u2018Don\u2019t leave because if you leave, I\u2019m leaving.\u2019 Tracii<\/strong> and Scotty<\/strong> had been working together a lot longer than the reunion. Their relationship was kinda fried and it came to a head around December and Scotty<\/strong> quit. I wasn\u2019t sure that I wanted to do it without Scotty<\/strong>. I live in Vegas and we had shows in Vegas. I said to Tracii<\/strong>, \u2018I don\u2019t know if I can be in this band without Scotty<\/strong> but we\u2019ve got two shows coming up and if you get here we\u2019ll do them and we\u2019ll talk about it\u2019. So they came and we did the shows and they sounded good and we had a great record in the can ready to go so I had to reconsider and take a little break. It\u2019s okay. We\u2019ve got a new manager, new record, everything\u2019s fine, it was just a blip.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe (Scotty<\/strong>) was kind of a babysitter and we lost our babysitter. I don\u2019t need a babysitter but other people do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
